What We're Looking For:

RuffleButts is looking to add a Controller who will be the leader in developing the strategic roadmap to mature the accounting operations and implement best-in-class processes, policy, systems, and controls.

To Summarize, You Will:

• Design and implement best-practice accounting processes and controls.
• Perform and manage daily operations of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash application, bank reconciliations, corporate credit card monitoring, and overall cash flow management.
• Develop and improve the accounting calendar, including month-end close, AP/AR cycles, tax planning and payments, among other duties.
• Perform all cost accounting functions and play a key role in analyzing and improving the inventory control function, including implementing processes and controls.
• Scale and optimize the accounting function and team to support long-term Company growth; develop best-practice process and automate through technology.
• Play a role in new systems implementation and upgrades, including ERP, EDI, and other integrations.
• Anticipating and evaluating business needs to make sure that financial organization and systems appropriately support the company's growth.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You Need for this Position:

• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in consumer products.
• Ability to take ownership of the company's General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Income Statement and all related accounts.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and how to apply them in practice.
• Excellent communication skills and an innate ability to break down aspects of financial data to team members across all departments.
• Self-motivated & efficient.
• ERP systems experience - NetSuite preferred.
• Private equity experience is helpful.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or similar.
• CPA, MBA, or equivalent is preferred. Inactive license is acceptable.
