Job Description:
The Controls Engineer will perform commissioning duties, develop new and modify existing electrical systems, PLC, HMI programs, safety systems, industrial Control Systems and provide support for tablet presses and other related equipment.
Essential Duties and :
* Control Systems Design & Integration for the Table Press Division including, but not limited to: programming and hardware selection.
* PLC and HMI configuration and program, commission , specification and troubleshoot.
* AC, DC and servos
-drives and motors: configure, commission, specify and troubleshoot.
* Control and Safety systems: configure, commission , specify and troubleshoot.
* Support service group as needed, troubleshoot customer issues with installed presses.
* Assist in developing product manuals and documentation.
* Maintaining compliance with various electrical industry and safety standards like NEC, NPPA 79, UL and CE.
* Maintain regulatory compliance with various agencies including the FDA.
* Work with Mechanical Engineering in Press Design.

*Must be at least 18 years of age
*Knowledge of three phase motor control theory
*Ability to read electrical schematics, physical and ladder diagrams
*Experience with the IEC 61131
-3 programming languages
*Familiar with RSLogix 5000, Indusoft Web Studio
*Experience with Data Acquisition systems, SQL preferred
*Ability to specify components, design, layout, build, program and debug a controls system.
*Trade school degree or Electrical Engineering degree with 3 years experience or 5 years" experience in the industry preferred
*Working Conditions: Air conditioned, machinery noises. Exposure to electricity, wiring
*Physical Effort: Standing, walking, climbing, pushing/pulling, grasping, kneeling, squatting, bending, twist/turn, reach above shoulder, lifting 0
