3D was founded in 2002 as a marketer and logistics provider sourcing specialty, value-added pet food ingredients. Today, we are the leading manufacturer of protein ingredients used to make premium pet food.

A division of 3D Corporate Solutions, our SC Pet Solutions, LLC plant is located in Ward, SC. We are currently seeking an Control Room Operator with a strong industrial manufacturing background with the below qualifications. The schedule will be C Shift (Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6am-6pm) or D Shift (Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6pm-6am)

Summary

This position is responsible for high level skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures. The Control Room Operator is responsible for the operation of cookers used for the cooking of raw product and to ensure HACCP and customer specifications are met. A strong mechanical aptitude or technical background is highly desirable.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Turning steam on to the batch/ continuous cookers
  • Maintaining the proper amount of product in cooker to meet customer specifications
  • Filling cooker with specified amount of grease
  • Heat grease to specification
  • Loading poultry into cooker once correct temperature has been reached
  • Cooking the product until it reaches minimum specks (batch cookers).
  • Notifying press operators when product is ready to dump
  • Verify area is clear and dump cookers
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • SCHDEULE: be C Shift (Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6am-6pm) or D Shift (Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6pm-6am)

Education / Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Must follow all safety requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Hot, humid environment at times, as well as cold, wet conditions for up to 12 hour shift.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or higher.
  • Lift and carry up to 100 lbs. on an infrequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or above.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Requires climbing, bending, kneeling and the ability to lift 50 pounds
