Job Description
Summary: In need of a Control Panel Designer to perform CAD work, design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bill of materials.
Requirements:
AA degree in engineering and 2 years of job-related experience, or 4 years of job-related experience
Experience with programmable controllers, motor/motor controllers, electronic sensors, and instrumentation
Proficiency in reading P&ID (process and instrumentation diagram) drawings and electrical schematics
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations including UL 508A, NFPA 70 and NFPA 79 standards
Preferred Skills:
Experience with control system design and implementation concepts, practices, and procedures
Proficient use with AutoCAD Electrical 2018 or higher
Proficient use with EPLAN Pro Panel 2022 or higher
Responsibilities:
Perform CAD work to design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bill of materials
Investigate components based on the application and environment while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Perform heating/cooling calculations during the panel design phase to ensure components are used within their ratings.
Interface with the Controls Department to ensure designs/layouts are appropriate for the control system.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
