Description:

Contracts Negotiation Manager supporting the AGMS Program within the Close Combat Systems Line of Business for MFC.
The position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to build and maintain high value customer relationships, with experience working with DoD government, international and commercial customers. Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the contract management/negotiation function including organizing and managing day to day contract management and negotiation activities. Responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance and efficient contract administration; establishing and maintaining excellent customer relations, both internally and externally, and developing business strategies for new business opportunities.
Advises management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Manages and participates in and/or conducts contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Participates in proposal preparation by reviewing contract terms and risks and assists in developing mitigation strategies for proposal submittals. Oversees the evaluation of contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance to contractual obligations. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations, and communications are maintained for timely execution by the parties. If necessary, coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and
recognition/disciplinary actions. May direct the planning and participation in training of contract practices and negotiations to company personnel.

Basic Qualifications:


Experience with various DoD (FAR/DFARS) domestic contract types, as well as domestic and international direct commercial sale contracting processes, including proposal preparation, negotiations of price and terms and conditions, and contract execution. Demonstrated leadership skills with direct reports, and both internal and external customers. Ability to develop and implement strategic business solutions in the fast paced environment

Desired Skills:


  • Prior experience managing direct reports and being in a Leadership role.
  • Experience with Production Contracts
  • Experience with Army Contracting Command
  • Innovative problem solver that embraces challenges, ability to lead highly productive teams, a strong business acumen applied to customer-centric business solutions resulting in favorable business cases.
  • Strong communication skills. Consistently demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership attributes while operating across functional lanes to meet business objectives.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
