Position: Contractor Liaison  

Lakewood, CO                       

Salary Range: $55 – 60,000 plus bonus opportunity of $750/month

The Key People (TKP) is a commercial janitorial service founded in 1973. We are largely a sales, marketing, and administrative company consisting of a small group of sales representatives, customer service representatives and accounting personnel dedicated to building long term relationships with our clients and cleaning contractors. TKP partners with small, local janitorial business owners to clean buildings that we obtain contracts for.

General Job Description 

The Contractor Liaison will be in charge of finding and onboarding new janitorial cleaning contractors, sending/receiving/filing contractor agreements, managing contractor insurance, and other contractor communications. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties: 

  • Compile and develop database of prospective contractors (both subcontractors and independent contractors) 
  • Contact prospective contractors and negotiate for them to join The Key People
  • Onboard all new contractors, including developing a list of expectations, cleaning requirements, scope of work, services offered, training, etc.
  • Send and maintain all contractor agreements, addendums, sub addendums, worksheets, and other paperwork 
  • Communicates between Key People Employees and Contractors the needs of the clients 
  • Develop Contractor scorecards to track and evaluate contractor performance and develops growth plans for TKP & contractors.

  • Must demonstrate strong, effective communication skills, preferably bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage several projects at once
  • High attention to detail 
  • Follow up on paperwork and organization 

 

Prior Experience

 

  • This is a new position within TKP, so there is a lot of flexibility in designing the job to meet the skills of the right person.
  • We value culture and chemistry the most, but prior experience in either sales or purchasing/sourcing would be ideal.
  • Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, demonstrates initiative, does not want or need to be micro-managed, and is goal oriented.
