The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is the state agency responsible for ensuring clean air and water, the safe management of toxics and hazards, the recycling of solid and hazardous wastes, the timely cleanup of hazardous waste sites and spills, and the preservation of wetlands and coastal resources.
The Duration of this internship is January 2024 - May 2024
Finance Internship
"Maintaining filing systems, archive records from prior Fiscal Years
Scanning & mailing original invoices, past due notices, collection letters
Retrieve phone calls from the TURA 1-800 helpline
Photocopying, scanning, and faxing
Researching Return Mail items
Work with TURA Program Coordinator managing Accounts Receivable daily and Debt Collection. Assist other areas of the Revenue Unit as needed.

Preferred Qualifications.
- Ability to understand and apply the regulations, policies, and procedures governing assigned activities.
- Ability to establish rapport with others.
- Ability to meet established or changing program requirements
- Ability to work independently, and in an organized manner with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
- Ability to gather information and maintain accurate records.

Associates or Bachelors degree required (must be enrolled or within one year of graduation)
