Contract | Senior Paralegal

LOD is currently seeking a contract Senior Paralegal for an on-site assignment with a client in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area.

This contract is projected to start shortly after a candidate is interviewed and selected. This role will pay starting at $35/hour, but is negotiable based on experience. The selected candidate must be comfortable reporting on site with the client during normal working hours.
 

Junior attorneys and recent law school graduates with prior paralegal experience are encouraged to apply!
 

Responsibilities

• Propound and respond to discovery.
• Calendar and manage court deadlines.
• Prepare documents for e-filing in both state and federal court.
• Draft correspondence and regularly communicate with clients, experts, and defense counsel in an effective and courteous manner.
• Assist with pre-trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits.
• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage the eDiscovery process for the practice group.

Experience Sought

• 7+ years experience in a law firm or in-house legal department supporting corporate and/or insurance practice groups.
• Heavy eDiscovery experience - reviewing documents, collecting data, working within the eDiscovery software from beginning to end.
• Third party vendor management.
• Case management - from intake to resolution.
• Extensive legal research and legal writing experience.

LOD offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate’s general skill set, applicability of candidate skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
