Continuous Improvement Project Leader

Chelsea Milling Company, renowned leader in the food manufacturing industry known for producing the iconic “JIFFY” brand, is looking for aContinuous Improvement (CI) Project Leader to help transform and streamline processes across all business units. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability has driven our success, and we are now looking for a talented individual to lead our Continuous Improvement Projects so that we can maintain and exceed our high manufacturing standards.

What will you do?

• Partner with the Continuous Improvement Manager, Plant Manager, and department heads to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance in the plant.
• Utilize plant and equipment performance information to drive data-based decisions and actions.
• Partner with Department Managers to develop the best plan for maximizing departmental output.
• Work cross-functionally across departments, shifts, and employees to gather ideas and information on the best approach to improve processes.
• Analyze data from the production floor, warehouse, logistics, and anything else that has a process.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Continuous Improvement Engineer in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related discipline.
• Ability to understand and solve complex issues.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software package, particularly Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure clear communication with all levels of staff.
• Analytical and logical thought process.
• Great problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to Continuous Improvement.
