Job Designation

  • The Continuous Improvement Manager will provide expertise in implementing the Continuous Improvement plan and initiatives. Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, measures, and reports the effectiveness of existing manufacturing processes and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements
  • Effectively applies improvement initiatives and all related activities in the facility.
  • Assists in training and skills enhancement for all employees with respect to Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
  • Participates in providing technical expertise and implements lean principles, techniques, and methods
  • Provides expertise when recommending solutions to problems and implementation of corrective actions
  • Participates in the evaluation of new technologies and determines how they can support engineering business processes
  • Assists in maintaining a safe production environment
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Years Experience:
  • Min 3 years of aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • LEAN practitioner

Skills:
  • Ability to provide special knowledge and expertise while implementing Continuous Improvement
  • Experience with Manufacturing cells and materials.
  • Implementing specific elements of LEAN.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools
  • Competent in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control
  • Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines, using available resources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Software applications, Excel, and Word
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $100K - $160K
