Job Responsibilities
The EMT instructor is responsible for accurate and quality delivery of the current EMT curriculum in its entirety as required by state and national standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to course preparation, lecture and lab instruction via various delivery methods, student record keeping and maintaining reporting deadlines as required by all program governing bodies. The instructor will provide continuous communication to students, faculty, and staff, participate in practical testing for all EMS certification levels and maintain current provider certification and instructor credentials.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Current SC DHEC and NREMT certified Paramedic with two years of field experience or higher as well as certified CPR instructor with AHA or ASHI with a minimum of one year of teaching experience. Successful completion and documentation of 40-hour Instructor Methodology course equivalent and DHEC EMT Instructor Orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or higher or greater than two years of experience in the field. Greater than one year of teaching experience in BLS, EMR, ACLS, PALS.
