Content Writer/Researcher
The GIC assists state agencies, divisions, and local governments with the creation and maintenance of their websites. We also lead the statewide Common Look & Feel (CLF) branding initiative, as well as provide graphic design, video production and social media content writing for client.
This position will work across client to research, create and organize content as well as help educate about the craft of content creation. This position will need to be able to work in partnership with diverse clients and internal team members to identify project goals and set a strategic content plan.
This position will work within the Creative Team and will have a strong collaboration with the entire GIC team, including Web and Video teams. This position reports to the GIC Creative Director.
A Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 5 years of experience is desired.
Successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.?

Job Requirements:
- Meet with clients to determine the scope of their content needs and create an overall content strategy for them.
- Research themes and topics for use in content creation.
- Ability to craft and organize content for web pages, blog posts and social media posts.
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner (plain language) for a diverse range of individuals to comprehend and easily find the information they are seeking.
- Review/edit content for style, grammar and tone of voice.
- Develop Subject Matter Expertise in chosen topics.
- Include relevant keywords in written content to enhance SEO.
