Job Description
Job Summary:
The Content Management Specialist will be part of a team responsible for digital content monitoring and maintenance as well as the distribution of our content in electronic formats and across e-platforms, including both proprietary and other Content Management systems, for law school textbooks, study aids, and bar review products.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Management
Support content development by inputting and maintaining content libraries and products in various digital content repositories, including WebAdmin, Alfresco/Componize, Learnosity, D2L, and similar Content Management systems and features.
Work Independently and collectively to prioritize workload to meet scheduled production dates.
Manage project work, take general direction, organize information, and formulate necessary action steps and follow-through to completion.
Quality Control
Contribute valuable ideas and suggestions for process/workflow improvements.
Create, load, proof, and test a variety of digital assets.
Adapt existing procedures to overcome roadblocks.
Individual and Team Skills
Collaborate across teams to provide production assistance or expertise needed to meet team and department goals.
Initiate needed action without waiting for directions.
Required Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Required Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills:
Excellent written and verbal English communication, including composition/grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively hold to a deadline.
- Ability to prioritize and stay focused while dealing with multiple assignments and tasks.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to increasingly complex and changing work in an agile environment.
- Ability to work with team members, contacts from other teams, departments, virtual and off-site teams/vendors, or sourcing partners effectively.
- Demonstrated process, product, and systems knowledge, and technical skills.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude for computer applications and systems such as word processing, data entry, and Content Management applications.
- Knowledge of DITA – XML basics a plus.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro a plus.
- Familiarity with U.S. legal system and legal educational publications a plus.
