UW Information Technology (UW-IT) is the central IT organization for the University of Washington. UW-IT provides strategic planning, oversight, and direction for UW's extensive IT infrastructure, resources, and services. UW-IT partners with the UW community to enable innovation, learning, discovery, and service.
The Content Management Specialist plays a critical role in helping ensure UW employees are successful with their use of Workday and related financial processes. The Content Manager is primarily responsible for encouraging adoption and successful usage of the UW Finance knowledge base. This role will be responsible for both content creation and monitoring the success/effectiveness of that content, coordinating among subject matter experts in Finance to solicit, vet, and finalize support materials according to data-driven trends and engagement with campus administrators. This position will create guidelines for what information is captured, by whom, how it's accessed, and how to keep it from growing stale. The incumbent will work closely with key stakeholders across the university to maintain consistency across content, and align the content strategy with existing content design standards. They will play a significant role in the development of a successful and effective knowledge base and will have a direct impact on employees day to day.
This position is also responsible for translating complex technical concepts into understandable and relatable terms and ensuring Workday Finance end-users are provided with comprehensive support materials. The candidate must possess strong people skills, including the ability to build trust and relationships with key stakeholders, team members and staff.

Hybrid environment. When in the office, the work will be in an open office environment where incumbent will contribute to collaborative teamwork focused on problem-solving. Daily interactions with other team members, subject matter experts and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. While the general working hours are within Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., the Director will, on occasion, need to adjust hours to accommodate the business needs and deadlines.
