LOCATION: Remote U.S.

OVERVIEW

You are responsible for the development, maintenance, improvement, and deployment of NCLEX-style and Nursing Education assessment content. An important responsibility of yours is delivering robust assessment content that delights customers for being accurate, current, and written to applicable market and customer standards. Following a digital content workflow and using proprietary authoring tools, the Associate Content Strategist delivers quality assessment content across digital and print delivery platforms, including the PrepU adaptive quizzing platform and ancillary product platforms for students and instructors. Your success requires close collaboration with subject matter experts, developers, and customers, and Editorial, Operations, Product, Sales, and Marketing colleagues. You are the owner of assigned products and deliverables and ensure that content is delivered to our customers error-free, on-time, on-spec, on-scope, and on-budget.

You will report to the Manager, Content Editing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Recruit, contract, and manage NCLEX item writers, reviewers, subject matter experts (SMEs), copyeditors, proofreaders, and vendors for multiple projects simultaneously based on selection criteria for each role.

+ Conduct audits of assessment content to identify development needs.

+ Work as the development editor with SMEs and vendors to develop new assessment content.

+ Work as the development editor with SMEs and vendors to evaluate and update existing assessment content.

+ Ensure development efforts align with the development plans and editorial calendar for assigned subjects as well as the long-term strategy for assessment content and related products.

+ Ensure content in development meets Wolters Kluwer quality standards.

+ Identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, budget, scope, and quality. Provide guidance on impact to schedule, budget, scope, or quality to partners.

+ Develop plans, specifications, schedule, and budgets for content development projects and assessment product releases.

+ Manage project budgets and schedules and provide regular status reports to management.

+ Monitor content after deployment for continual QA. Respond to customer escalations related to content on digital platforms and revise content based on feedback, and market dynamics.

+ Manage class testing of content for adaptive quizzing platform.

+ Work in Content Management system and with technology partners to create sites and portals for adaptive quizzing products.

+ Establish and build ongoing communication with internal and external teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

+ Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Rhetoric, health sciences, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Experience

+ 1+ year of digital assessment content development or related experience.

+ Understanding of Nursing Education curriculum and testing.

+ Establishing relationships with important partners such as writers, subject matter experts, editors, developers, and vendors.

+ Working with Content Management systems and other online authoring tools.

+ Project planning, tracking, and execution

+ Overseeing the work of freelancer staff and vendors.

Preferred Experience

+ Knowledge of the Nursing Education curriculum and market

+ Budget management

+ Familiarity with coding such as HTML, XML, and metadata tagging.

TRAVEL:< 10% for nursing segment team meetings or conferences
