JOB BRIEF
The Content Associate will be an integral part of the content team, responsible for researching new topics and instructors for classes and repurposing existing content for a number of educational uses. The successful candidate will work closely with our Director of Content to create new and reuse existing educational content for specific uses that resonate with our audience.
As the Content Associate, you will have the opportunity to use your skills to conduct research and present it to the Director of Content, and view all existing content with an eye to repurpose it for specific applications. You will work with our Instructional Designer to transform our current content into newsletters, blog posts, curriculum, and formats that support a variety of learning styles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Repurposing
- Engage with and assess existing educational content.
- Repurpose existing educational content into other formats including newsletters, middle school and high school curriculum, blog posts, and/or formats that support new learning styles.
- Collaborate with the Instructional Designer to ensure the content meets educational goals and standards.
- Research and Data Analysis
- Conduct educational research to stay current on homesteading trends and needs and potential classes and instructors.
- Generate ideas for new educational content based on research findings.
- Share research findings and insights with the Content team.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with the Instructional Designer to align repurposed content with curriculum and learning objectives.
- Collaborate with multimedia specialists and graphic designers to create engaging and interactive learning materials.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working with content, curriculum, or equivalent.
- Strong English writing skills.
- Understanding of content and education, recognizing that different applications require content to be used in distinct ways.
- Familiarity with Google products, including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.
- Ability to quickly grasp the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Proficient in research.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred in the field of education or related areas.
- Formal teaching experience is not mandatory but can be advantageous.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work even under tight deadlines.
