Content and Trails Manager

Destination Gettysburg is currently seeking an experienced marketer to serve as Content and Trails Manager. This position is full-time and includes an extensive benefit package.
Destination Gettysburg is the official destination marketing organization (DMO) for Gettysburg and Adams County, Pa. Objective
This manager-level position will assist in the day-to-day operation of the Marketing Department to ensure that the organization’s goals and objectives (as outlined in the annual Marketing Plan) and other required tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintenance and creation of trails and digital visitor experiences
- Content creation for organization.
- Website management support
- Provide creative input for Marketing Department of Destination Gettysburg
The following are the specific duties as they relate to these key areas:
Content and Website
- Create online forms for organization as needed.
- Create video content showcasing people and places throughout destination.
- Write blogs and edit content to cover all aspects of destination.
- Assist in gathering destination photography and adding new material.
- Write copy for new partner pages and build-out for website.
Trails and Experiences
- Attend trail related events and festivals as appropriate
- Creation and maintenance of trail experiences through Bandwango
- Manage and distribute prizes
- Actively recruit new partner locations for trails
- Regular communication with partners
- Understand performance of all trails and report on analytics regularly
- Work directly with Social Media Manager to promote trails on social media
- Write monthly newsletters for trail experiences
- Maintain WishTrip account and actively create new “Treks” for visitor use
Qualifications
- Two-year college degree or trade school preferred
- Two years of experience in communications, public relations, or journalism preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Wordpress preferred.
- Skills in photography, videography and editing preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Evidence of ability to forge and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ability to work in close, cooperative team environment as evidenced by prior experience and references.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
