Seltser and Goldstein public adjusters is a 4th generation Family business with over 30 employees. We understand the needs of our clients and diligently strive to ensure that we consistently deliver a quality, accurate work product in an expedient manner. When our client suffers a casualty loss to their home or business our job is to accurately inventory and ascertain all damages to the building and personal property.

Job Summary:

To properly represent our clients we must inventory, price and type all personal property that was damaged in their home or business during a casualty loss. The job includes being on the road and in the office assisting in the preparation of a complete content, that will be presented to the insurance company. The job will also require dealing with clients, insurance adjusters, cleaning companies and other content experts to ensure the best possible work product is completed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of loss sites and evaluate damages
• Inventory, Type and price content claims for all damaged items
• Explain coverage of loss, assists clients with itemization of damages, emergency repairs and help facilitate all parts of the content claim
• Communicate and work with vendor services such as contractors, emergency repair, cleaning services and various replacement services.
• Meet with Clients to review ages and identification of items
• Photograph damaged items and meet with insurance adjusters

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of insurance experience and basic knowledge of replacement cost, depreciation, and actual cash value.
• Requires working knowledge of claims handling procedures and operations.
• Demonstrated understanding of Inventory types and pricing
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage workload while exhibiting good judgment effectively and independently.
• Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. Computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems and analytical skills.
• Driving license
• Proficient in Microsoft excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
