Job Description
Duration: 9 mo. to start (through 7/1/2021) will be extended beyond
Work location: downtown SF (will be remote until the virus restriction has been lifted/then you would be onsite)
Seeking a Container Software Engineer to:
-Work with the business & IT group to understand business challenges, & to design, implement & deliver an appropriate solution using agile methodology across the larger program.
-Develop code and test artifacts that reuse subroutines or objects, that is well structured, backed by automated tests, includes sufficient comments and is easy to maintain.
-Work independently to implement solutions on multiple platform (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD).
-Implement & debug subsystems/microservices & components.
-Participate in integrated test sessions of components & subsystems on test and production servers.
-Follows automate-first/automate-everything philosophy.
-Support the group’s technical infrastructure (e.g., repository, build system, testing system) under guidance from the systems engineer or another project leader.
Needed skills/exp
-5yrs+ of I.T.-software/software product development exp
-Bachelors in Science–Computer Science or equivalent.
-Hands on exp with system programming, development of service/module type of applications in Java, Nodejs, and mainstream scripting.
-Understanding of Microservices, Sprint Boot, Java, JavaScript, NodeJs, Git & JenkinsCI.
-SQL Server, Stored Procedure & Kafka.
-OpenShift & Apigee API Integration
Preferred skills/exp.
-Container programing– Microservices, Docker & OpenShift.
-Exp across programming languages, patterns & data structures.
-Adequate hands on exp. with multi-threaded development covering thread sync & synchronization, locks & database concurrency
