*Job Overview:*
The essential role of Chassis Repair Technicians is to maintain, and repair trailers used for national and international shipping distribution. A Chassis Repair Technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance when equipment is out of service or when stationary in the distribution yard.
*Job Responsibilities and accountability:*
Troubleshoot and repair all chassis/shipping containers/trailer defects.
Including ABS systems; air brake system, wheels end, and structural assemblies
Some welding and fabrication of chassis and shipping containers.
Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs.
*Job Requirements:*
Mechanical background.
Valid Driver's License.
Must be able to pass a substance screening
Ability to work outside in all types of weather
Capable of working at heights of 50 feet
Must be willing to work all shifts as required
Capable of lifting 50lbs with or without assistance
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must have basic computer skills and comfortable working on a computer.
