Job Description
CLC Servicing and Settlement Specialist
The CLC Servicing and Settlement Specialist II is primarily responsible for handling complex functions assigned to Loan Settlement within the Consumer Loan Center. The Specialist II is expected to independently research and analyze complex out of balance conditions, aged items, exception transactions, and investigation requests either taking independent action to resolve; or, elevating recommended course of action to Servicing Leadership. The Specialist II will have wire transfer authority and will back up coworkers within the team as necessary as well as sharing system and processing knowledge and expertise within and outside the team from a collaboration perspective.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Review, analyze and resolve complex Banking Center, Servicing, Collections, New Loan Boarding, and 3rd party servicer (FIS VBO) requests communicated via the Accounting Request Group Mailbox and FIS IBS SRM tool. These requests often result in adjustments to client accounts.
  • Daily review of a variety of reports to identify client accounts that need adjustments. This includes reversing stop payment, NSF rejects, credit balance refunds, payment transmission issues, daily post deadline checks that need processing (cut 2), TX checks >$4000. Independently analyze, research, and resolve exceptions and issues.
  • Daily review of several reports for fraud prevention review. These reports include large check signatures, counterfeit review, BSP payment review. Make recommendations to Servicing leadership for daily review and approval.
  • Process flood premium posting to client accounts. Back up and support other Servicing and Settlement functions such as payoffs, IPW check support, Wealth Management account transfer requests.
  • Partner with CLC leaders and FIS Liaisons to troubleshoot open tickets impacting Servicing and Loan Settlement. Represent Loan Settlement in FIS related initiatives and updates.
