Position Summary
Responsible for directing and administering the daily operations of the Consumer Loan Servicing Section. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees a wide range of Loan Servicing functions for Consumer Loan products (including vehicle loans, unsecured installment and line of credit, credit card, PV). General servicing functions include direct contact via phone and email (incoming and outgoing) with members, maintaining and processing supporting loan documents, ensuring the proper posting of payments, and completing clerical duties in support of member loans. Ensures the integrity and accuracy of all loan support data that is entered in the system of record. Keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations which affect the activities of Consumer Loans. Trains, coaches, directs, and supervises staff.
Qualifications/Experience
- At least five years of related experience in Loan Servicing.
- Thorough knowledge of Loan Servicing functions.
- Basic understanding of credit union lending operations.
- General knowledge of Consumer Loan origination, collection and loss mitigation process and regulations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including basic Excel and intermediate use of Word for publishing and creating form templates.
- Able to research, interpret and implement applicable regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Able to work independently, utilize available resources, and exercise professional judgement in leading a team.
- Ability to plan, develop, and implement curriculum.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication ability.
- Able to meet deadlines.
