Job description

The Consumer Loan Operations Representative I assists with handling transactions including but not limited to; letters of guarantee, loan payoffs, vehicle title release, out of country requests,  and other consumer loan servicing related activities.

The hourly pay range for this position is $17.35-$26.03 depending on experience, skills, education and internal equity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with Letter of Guarantee requests faxed insurance companies for a guarantee of title upon receipt of loan payoff proceeds.
  • Assist in processing loan payoff proceeds from dealers, other financial institutions, insurance companies, and members.
  • Assists with resolving errors and making corrections on accounts as necessary.
  • Assists with loan transfer requests and processes them in accordance with Credit Union Policy. Assists with processing member transactions efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner including but not limited to due date change requests, automatic payment updates, loan re-amortization, payment frequency, and loan payment method changes. 
  • Assists with out-of -country requests and prepares authorization documents in adherence to Credit Union policy.
  • Assists with a vehicle license plate or Vehicle Identification Number inquiry utilizing the Computerized Vehicle Registration System.
  • Assists and researches void loan requests.
  • Assists with vehicle title release processing to registered owners, insurance companies, or third parties utilizing the DealerTrack title management system.
  • Assists with miscellaneous vehicle title inquires such releases status, name change, and state change requests.
  • Answers department hotline within minimum requirement adheres to hotline schedule, phone auxiliary codes, and follows Logix Service Cycles.
  • Responsible for maintaining optimal levels of individual performance and accomplishment, which support Logix in achieving its financial, sales, and service goals.
  • Responsible for performing activities in support of internal and external sales, service, and business development activities as directed by management.
  • Ensures teller work is in balance in adherence to Credit Union teller balancing standards.
  • Assists with helping members, co-workers, and internal customers with questions, problems, and other work-related matters in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Adheres to department standards and daily schedule of tasks and duties established in Consumer Loan Operations.
  • Assists employees within the department and promotes teamwork among the group.
  • May complete title follow-up for vehicle loans.
  • May contact insurance companies as required.
  • Accomplishes individual and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintain the ability to present Logix's products and services.
  • May perform other duties when assigned.
  • Must consistently report to work on time, as scheduled.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Ability):

  • At least one year financial services experience or equivalent knowledge.
  • Consumer lending and DMV processing knowledge preferred
  • Ability to obtain Consumer Loan certification within 6 months of entering position (includes successful completion of LFCU Consumer Loan Training).
  • Working knowledge of Credit Union/Financial Institution compliance and regulations
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be flexible and adapt to constant system/software changes and possess excellent phone manners and techniques.
  • Must be accurate, reliable, and able to work in a heavy production and teamwork environment while meeting production goals.
