Timberland Bank is seeking a non-remote Full-time Consumer Loan Assistant to work in our Hoquiam branch located in Hoquiam, WA.
Ideal candidate would have administrative experience, excellent organizational, research, and record keeping skills, this may be the career for you!
We are looking for candidates that can provide broad-based administrative support to our fabulous loan staff by: Processing and recording all loan activity, Loan research and maintenance as needed, and balance daily tasks with exceptional customer care.
As a Consumer Loan Assistant, you would perform the following essential job duties:
Document commercial and Consumer Loan requests, evaluating their compliance with bank lending policies. Ensure compliance of laws and applicable regulations.
Verify all documents and files are complete.
Perfect bank collateral in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain knowledge of county, state and federal regulations in regard to lending and collateral perfection.
Order pre‐documentation searches (i.e., title commitments, flood, tax, UCC searches, etc.)
Maintain final title insurance policies.
Maintain and track all recorded legal documents.
Verify title insurance and recording invoices for payment.
Process Visa applications.
Assist in balancing GLs.
All related loan filing.
Other job functions as determined by supervisor.
Education/ Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Customer Service and Administrative experience
Two or more years of banking experience, including work knowledge of loan funding, documentation and servicing preferred.
Job Requirements:
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and execute daily tasks
Team player; help others even when primary assignments are complete
High math aptitudes.
Display professionalism by having a great working attitude, showing to work on time, and dressing according to code.
Experience with the following applications: Microsoft Word, EXCEL, OUTLOOK.
Attention to detail and precision when balancing accounts and loan tracking.
Other qualifications:
Ability to multi‐task.
Ability to work in a high volume environment to meet deadlines.
Excellent organization skills.
Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Access preferred.
Familiarity with all types of Timberland Bank loan products.
Sets quality customer service as a primary priority.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and individuals to reach mutual goals.
Must be able to appropriately handle job stress that can occur when it becomes necessary to meet client expectations for closings.
