Consulting Utility Forester
- Inspects overhead power lines for proper vegetation clearance and compliance with the law,
- Performs post inspections and work verification on pre-inspection and vegetation management work,
- Documents information for client’s vegetation management program,
- Inspects and assess trees for hazard potential,
- Assists in storm and emergency situations and other miscellaneous vegetation management projects,
- Communicates daily with the client, contractors, landowners, agencies and the public,
- Performs duties in a manner that will promote and maintain good public relations,
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned,
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Ability to lift forty (40) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely around equipment, materials, supplies, and other items to be handled,
- Exposure to weather and hazardous conditions,
- Walk on various terrain (Up/Down Hills/Slopes).
Certifications:
- ISA Certified Arborist Designation (Preferred),
- Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (is a plus),
Position Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Position requires successful completion of preemployment background check and drug screen.
Other Experience:
- Experience in Forestry, Arboriculture or Horticulture a plus,
- Must possess tree identification skills and the ability to read maps,
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the ability to multi-task and an attention to detail,
- Must be able to work alone, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain,
- Must be good with technology and have basic computer and smart phone skills,
- Customer Service (interacting with home owners/ property owners)

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
