ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Four years of full time paid engineering or construction experience in the design or construction of roads and bridges is required. Must have a State of Ohio Professional Engineer's License. (Substitution: Must have a temporary Professional Engineer License at the time of hire in which case, must have a permanent license within 90 days of the issuance of such temporary license.) Must be computer proficient in spreadsheets and typing and have a working knowledge of AutoCAD. A valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds and have the physical capability to take measurements. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES:
- Under administrative direction, provides engineering services related to divisional or department projects and activities.
- Review of any permits received (including, but not limited to: Street Opening Permits, Obstruction Permits, Oversize Vehicle Movement Permits, Patio/Parklet Permits, etc.).
- Create and adjust permit forms and ordinances, as needed.
- Review of all site plans and Right of Way work that is part of a potential building permit.
- Provide engineering advisory services to divisional or departmental projects and activities.
- Create adjudication letters based on reviews and communicate with applicants until plans are approved.
- Prepare, administer, and/or review City Requirements Contracts.
- Review field estimates to create Task Orders.
- Preparation or oversight of preliminary studies to develop project budgets, project scope of services, request for proposal (RFP), conduct consultant evaluation and selection, and compliance evaluation.
- Assist in field inquiries.
- Attend meetings as assigned, take notes, and address potential issues with applicants, and create/submit meeting minutes.
- Attend field meetings as needed concerning permits.
- Assist in code enforcement of permit violations.
- Assist in Right-of-Way Contractor Registration, as needed
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

- Project/Program Management certification is preferred
