The opportunity:

The primary objectives of this position are to participate in project initiatives, provide business system support to the claims operation, act as a leader and system subject matter expert (SME) for a variety of Disability, Absence and Life Claims systems and Business Processes.

How you will contribute:

• Project activities include conducting analysis, assessing, and helping to define business requirements, system research, system configuration, testing, training, and documentation associated with project deliverables. Projects include both technical projects and Business Process improvement initiatives.

• System Configuration includes design and construction of business system configuration solutions based on business needs and requirements. This is a unique set of work within the claims management application. This configuration activity may also involve the implementation of Client-specific work processes, service profiles and correspondence solutions.

• Business system support includes assisting business users with technical business issues, system related problem resolution, and access provisioning. Access provisioning involves intaking requests for a variety of claims applications, monitoring usage, and facilitating quarterly SOX application reviews.

• This job is responsible for managing multiple projects and competing priorities through effective time management. This position periodically requires flexibility in work hours outside of core business hours to support testing and project initiatives.

What you will bring with you:

• Ability to work with diverse group of people

• Bachelors’ degree or a minimum of 3 years business experience with Claims Operations, or similar role with Sun Life or another company.

• Demonstrated analytical skills, including aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures. Ability to adapt to and manage change.

• This position requires a strong technical aptitude and solid business and systems knowledge.

• Solid understanding of our business, the marketplace and customer needs.

• Strong ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Intermediate level proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

• Ability to manage work to fixed deadlines, and transparently and concisely report on work progress.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments.

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

• Southern region: $62,400 - $93,600 annually

• Central region: $65,800 - $98,700 annually

• Northern region: $70,300 - $105,500 annually

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $59,600 - $89,400 annually.

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $70,300 - $105,500 annually.

If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $65,800 - $98,700 annually.
