Construction Laborer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Laborer to join our team, specializing in deck refinishing and house painting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and executing various tasks related to deck restoration and house painting. The Construction Laborer will work closely with the project team to ensure high-quality results, adhere to safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Prepare decks and house surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and patching to ensure a smooth and even finish. Remove old paint or stain using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Deck Refinishing: Apply sealants, stains, or paints to decks to enhance their appearance and protect against weather elements. Repair and replace damaged deck components as needed.
• House Painting: Paint interior and exterior surfaces of houses using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and finishes.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment. Properly handle and store painting materials, tools, and equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines. Communicate effectively with team members to address any concerns or modifications during the project.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and durability of the finished product by inspecting work for flaws and making necessary corrections. Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Qualifications and requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions, give full attention to what other people are saying, and logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
