Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and passionate Construction Trades Teacher with expertise in woodworking to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in woodworking, a thorough understanding of Construction Trades, and the ability to instruct and inspire high school students.
Responsibilities:
  1. Implement a comprehensive curriculum for the Construction Trades program, with a focus on woodworking techniques and skills.
  2. Instruct students on safe and proper use of woodworking tools and machinery.
  3. Create engaging and interactive lessons that align with industry standards and educational objectives.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and skill development.
  5. Provide constructive feedback and assessment on student projects, ensuring continuous improvement.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary projects and real-world applications into the curriculum.
  7. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in Construction Trades and woodworking.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Woodworking certification or significant hands-on experience in woodworking.
  3. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Patience and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  7. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
