One of the top performing, Commercial General Contractors, based out of New York, Gregor Industries, is seeking a talented, Site Superintendent to join our Team of Professionals. A minimum of 5 plus years, Supervisory experience, managing crews, in a commercial setting.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years experience in Commercial construction in a Supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- AVAILABLE TO WORK NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS.
- Ability to travel to various job sites, vehicle or reliable transportation required.
- Job sites vary in the New Jersey area.
- A background in carpentry is a plus.
- Site Supervising Experience 3+ years required.
- Commercial Construction- Night shift/Second shift, some day work, primarily nights and weekends
- Experience and knowledge of reading & interpreting Blueprints.
- Possible OT
License/Certifications:
- Driver's License (Required).
- OSHA 30 (Required).
- OSHA SST
- Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a managerial presence on job sites from the start of the day to the end.
- Be able to manage multiple trades on the job site.
- Prepare and adhere to an effective schedule for all construction plans.
- Analyze and ensure compliance with all construction contract schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants.
- Supervise the efficient working of all project staff and ensure compliance with all design specifications.
- Coordinate with company personnel and clients to resolve all project issues and provide a response to all requests.
- Design and implement strategies for contractors.
- Develop estimates for all change orders and perform regular tests on all construction activities.
- Supervise efficient working of all construction specifications and ensure compliance with all record drawings.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure the accuracy of all documents and maintain cost control on all projects while maintaining quality at all times.
- Administer efficient working of all field staff and participate in all meetings with contracts to evaluate progress on a regular basis.
- Develop and implement all project control tools and prepare an effective cost report for all construction projects.
- Maintain accuracy of data and safety systems.
- Handle site management of health and safety programs.
- Ensure training of employees, visitors, and contractors in job hazards and safety practices.
- Develop and enable employee Safety Training Programs.
- Handle material safety data sheets’ current listing for controlled products on plant site.
