Construction Multi-Family and Single-Family Quality Control Manager

As a Quality Assurance Manager at RP Homes, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for inspecting residential properties during various stages of construction, ensuring that our homes meet or exceed industry standards and company specifications. This role is also responsible for the supervision of the Warranty Team and for competent management of the Department budget.

$80,000 - $100,000 yearly

• Responsible for supervision of Warranty/QC Department staff
• Responsible for training QC and Warranty staff
• Responsible for running Warranty Department daily morning huddle
• Responsible for prioritization of open tickets together with Warranty Coordinator
• Responsible for performing comprehensive quality inspections of residential properties, including homes, common areas, and community amenities, at different stages of construction to identify any deviations from quality standards
• Responsible for meeting with problem trades and vendors to improve vendor reliability
• Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting your findings and providing clear descriptions of any issues discovered. Maintain accurate records of inspection results
• Code Compliance: Ensure that properties comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards
• Defect Identification: Identify and document construction defects, material deficiencies, and workmanship issues, and work collaboratively with the construction team to develop solutions
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of Quality Control processes, recommending improvements based on inspection findings to prevent issues in future projects
• Improve checklist and documentation for both field staff and trades to optimize QC process
• Customer Satisfaction: Participate in the resolution of customer concerns related to Construction Quality, ensuring that any necessary corrections are made promptly
• Safety Focus: Monitor safety practices on construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Reporting: Provide regular reports to management summarizing inspection findings, trends, and areas for improvement

• Must have 5 years of field experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and best practices
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
• Must have 2 years of supervisory experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in quality assurance or construction inspection is a plus
• High attention to detail and excellent observational skills
• Self-starting: Ability to work independently and make decisions based on inspection findings
• Ability to train QC and Warranty staff
• Strong ability in planning and taking proactive measures
• Tenacious about taking tasks to completion
• Highly organized and works well inside a highly organized system
