Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Senior Construction Managerto join a Data Center project in South Hill, VA.
The Construction Manager will serve full time onsite as the Owner's Agent and will be responsible for ensuring the project scope and schedule for the construction of a Data Center facility is managed and safe quality results are delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the execution of the project scope from preconstruction, construction, and close-out
- Inspect project work to contract and design standards
- Oversee quality delivery; manage Non-Conformance Reports and resolution
- Participate in High Risk Activity (HRA) planning meetings
- Engage in site safety and actively promote delivery of a safe product
- Identify project objectives and milestones; monitor the development and implementation of action plans and schedules by the General Contractor and their sub-tier vendors and consultants
- Support the change management process in providing clarification and guidance on questions regarding scope, justification, and technical detail
- Identify and assist in the mitigation of project risks and monitor the development and implementation of corrective action plans
- Establish, coordinate, and attend/conduct all necessary project meetings
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering scope and overall project status
- Verify all required project documentation is completed in a timely manner, such as reports, logs, submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and other relevant documentation
- Inspect and manage construction logistics, procurement, and supply chain management, including Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment. Assist with OFCI start-up and issue resolution.
- 10+ years of construction management experience on large-scale and complex projects. Mission critical facilities experience is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in major regulations, industry codes and standards as well as construction materials, means, and methods
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Master/Journeyman Electrician, Plumber, etc. considered a plus
