Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $60K - $75K
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in areas such as pool or general construction and/or hardscaping.
Bachelor’s degree – preferred but not required.
Self-starter, motivated individual.
Effective management and leadership behaviors; ability to train, guide, direct, and hold accountable team members.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record - able to drive company truck(s) and haul trailers and operate heavy equipment.
Acceptable background check.
Effective oral communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively and work with others in a team environment.
Very organized – truck, tools, paperwork, scheduling, planning, dependable, etc.
Detail oriented individual from start to finish.
High standards of quality for finished product, as well as for processes along the way.
Must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
The ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
Willingness to work overtime as needed and do whatever it takes to take care of our customers.
Construction skills and familiarity with tools and measurements are a must.
Capacity to read plans and engineering drawings.
Responsibilities:
Lead, guide and direct multiple crews and projects simultaneously, including daily plans and effective follow-through.
Visit job sites and provide technical support and assist other field operations personnel with all necessary construction tasks (physical labor will be part of the daily routine).
Provide scheduling execution and sub-contractor management while ensuring compliance with company quality standards.
Work closely with crew leaders and members ensuring open communication as well as efficient and effective execution of projects.
Build morale for the project teams and relationships between crews and clients.
Teach pool building craft and various trades to crew members developing their knowledge and experience in all related areas (rebar/steel, cement, trenching, rocking, grading, plumbing, electrical, tile, landscaping, hardscaping, masonry, carpentry, and painting).
Proficiently and safely operate heavy equipment specifically skid steer, excavator, pump, and/or loader.
Proactively order materials, supplies, specialty tools and equipment that are needed to complete client projects on-time and on-budget; effectively follow-up to ensure everything is provided on time and according to specifications.
Assume responsibility for care of company provided vehicle and corresponding materials, equipment, tools, and parts (preventative maintenance, upkeep, cleanliness, etc.).
Oversee development and implementation of company safety program in accordance with OSHA standards / requirements (recording/documenting trainings as required and providing resources to team as needed).
Participate in training and other development to strengthen technical, business, safety, and other skills.
Participate in hiring and firing processes, as well as performance appraisal and employee development of team members.
