Construction Foreman

DiBiase Companies is looking add skilled and qualified Construction Labor Foreman to our growing team. The Construction Labor Foreman will work closely with the Site Supervisor to facilitate day-to-day operations on our residential construction job sites throughout the NorthShore. Typical duties involve preparing construction sites for residential homes, unloading and loading of materials, reading plans and specifications, servicing machines, mixing concrete, landscaping, installing utility services, and heavy machine operating. A qualified candidate will be a skilled laborer, who has experience in residential building and enjoys working in the construction industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Assist in the building of residential homes and communities.
- Read blueprints and engineering plans, preferred.
- Delegate responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
- Service heavy equipment and other machines as needed.
- Dig various trenches.
- Capable of installing water, sewer, and storm drainpipes.
- Operate laser guidance equipment to place pipes.
- Mix/pour concrete.
- Landscaping.
Experience/Qualifications
- Prior experience working on a construction job site required, including construction Foreman.
- Previous experience with utility installation, foundation layout, preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment and hand tools.
- General knowledge of a residential construction building practices and methods.
- General knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
- Ability to take orders and complete tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to work a physically active job.
- Valid Driver's License, required.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry.
- Heavy Equipment Operation
The Construction Labor Foreman is expected to be a physically demanding job, which requires the ability to lift heavy objects. The expectation is that the Construction Labor Foreman will be able to work in all conditions, year-round, Monday through Saturday. Compensation will be based on experience. Overtime available on a week by week basis. Year round, full time employment expected. Benefits available.
