Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection on a variety of construction projects including railroad, bridge and highway.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection on a variety of construction projects including railroad, bridge and highway.
- Responsible for performing assignments in construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
- Under minimal direction, relies on experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Construction Project Manager
- Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
- Provides on the job training to new employees.
- Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
- Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
- Tracks quality assurance progress.
- Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, of performing inspection on related bridge and/or roadway construction projects
- Must have NICET certification (or ability to obtain required level), Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- NETTCP HMA Inspector or Concrete Inspector
- Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT)
- Experience supervising / managing less experienced inspectors
- Experience using MS Office software
