Construction Framing Laborer

Job Description

Framing laborer needed for local company that has been in operation since 1997 in the Kittitas County. Company specializes in high end residential framing and commercial structures throughout Kittitas County. Small percentage of work will be remodels and additions. Wage dependent on skill level/experience, $25.00-$35.00, but no previous experience is necessary. Normal work week is Monday through Thursday from 7:00-5:30 (spring/summer) and Monday through Friday from 7:00-3:30 (fall/winter), not including drive time. Working overtime is a rare occurrence and we do not work on weekends. Majority of jobs are in the Cle Elum area, transportation is provided from Ellensburg.

Matching 401K and paid leave available after first year of employment.

First Aid/CPR certification is preferred, but not required.

ABILITIES, SKILLS, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE'S

*ABILITY TO PERFORM SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY AT HEIGHTS (YOU WILL BE WALKING WALLS AND WORKING ON A ROOF, WHILE HANDLING HEAVY MATERIALS).

* Operate basic power tools, safely.

* Work as a team with others.

* Take direction well and learn skills quickly.

* Able to lift heavy materials on a continuous basis.

* Layout materials using a tape and square. Mark and cut materials to measurement using hand and power tools.

* Valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation.

REQUIRED TOOLS

Employees are required to provide and maintain their personal tool bags. Employees are required to wear all appropriate clothing and foot ware outlined by the Washington Department of Labor and Industries.
