Description:
This position provides technical support to craft and supervision on the project. Also supports Quality by providing Quality oversight in their daily activities, as required.
- Perform Construction Engineering work requiring application of standard Construction Engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in performing a sequence of related Construction Engineering tasks
- Assist craftsmen and foreman with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings
- Perform surveillance/examinations, if required, to ensure that the Quality objectives are being met for the project
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Accredited four (4) year engineering degree and two (2) years of work-related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Support the Construction Coordinators on the CIP PRASA Program
- Participate on Pre-Construction Meetings
- Participate on the project’s Weekly Coordination Meetings
- Support the Change Order process by preparing the required documents and presentations
- Support with the Monthly Progress Reports
- Support with the Monthly Construction Progress Presentations
- Review the Contractors Certifications
- Support the Stage Gate process and documents
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
- Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic use of spreadsheets
