Electrical Construction Coordinator -Job Description
This position requires 5-10-years of construction experience in the electrical trades, electrical design
industry or Field construction with hands on experience installing electrical systems. The Electrical
Construction Coordinator provides administrative and technical responsibilities for the electrical portion of
selected projects, including planning, scheduling, scope of work monitoring and quality assurance. This
position works closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Electrical Engineer, and
Electrical Contractor(s) to ensure the successful completion of the electrical systems. Work experience is
required at heavy industrial or mining facilities.
Essential Functions
Assist the project team with coordination and planning of the work with contractors.
Quality inspections and reviews of installed work.
Submittal reviews.
Troubleshoot electrical field problems.
Coordinate and witness systems testing and record keeping.
Coordinate or assist with local building authority inspections.
Coordinate and assist with electrical commissioning of systems.
Demonstrates working knowledge of the following disciplines:
1. Integrated systems, including fire alarm systems, security systems, Process Controls,
etc.
2. Electrical high and low voltage systems
3. Temperature, level, & flow controls along with other control systems
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements
Microsoft Windows - intermediate to advanced knowledge
Microsoft Office & Outlook - advanced knowledge
Bluebeam - intermediate knowledge
Physical Requirements
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk multiple flights of stairs; use hands & fingers
to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Frequent lifting of tools and supplies, typically not to exceed 20 pounds.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or
related field, preferred but not required.
Minimum of 5 - 10 years relevant work experience in the construction industry
OSHA 30 Hour Certification and MSHA Miner Training preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), schedule,
cost, safety, and quality, BIM coordination
Solid leadership / management / supervisory skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Ability to effectively coordinate, control, and supervise multiple contractors.

Ensure that all quality requirements are being met. 3. 80% of time to be spent providing oversight in the work areas & 20% of time spent reviewing drawings, standards, & completing documentation in the job trailer.
