Job Description
Howard Sloan has partnered with a family office co-investment platform focused on the investment, development, and management of single-tenant, net-lease retail and industrial properties globally. We invest in net-lease assets through portfolio purchases, sale leasebacks, development equity, 1031 exchange loans, private financing options, and various special situations. Company was founded in 2010 by a handful of net-lease industry veterans to manage their principal investments. Since then, the platform has expanded to include capital raising and both development partnerships and services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project manager to develop a detailed cost-effective budget for the project.
- Analyze all transactions and work unforeseen costs into the budget.
- Perform accounting duties throughout the project, such as reviewing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders.
- Keep a record of all project finances for internal reporting and/or external auditing purposes.
- Identify and report budget discrepancies to management for review.
- Perform month end activities such as preparing journal entries and workbooks, maintaining the general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Track cost for all assigned development projects
- Place development assets into service and calculate rent for completed jobs based off lease agreement.
- Prepare draw requests for submission directly to bank lenders.
- Prepare opening journal entries for property acquisitions.
- Assist management with special projects and other ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with managers and business associates/partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows software programs.
- Yardi experience preferred.
- Experience in real estate or REIT is highly desirable.
- 3 to 4 years of accounting experience (Public and Private highly desirable) with 1 year experience in real estate development or project accounting preferred.

- Bachelors degree in Accounting
Compensation
- Salary $110k - $120k
