DESCRIPTION OF JOB
The salary for this position is:
$32.74 - $45.31 Hourly
$2,619.23 - $3,624.92 Biweekly
$68,100.00 - $94,248.00 Annually

Consolidated Veteran Service Representatives (CVSR) are specialists in veteran employment issues, conduct analysis, and provide input to the administration before setting program direction and policy. They also coordinate with the Business Services Division of their Workforce centers and other service providers to promote the benefits of hiring veterans and conduct outreach programs for employers. CVSRs provide intensive services (individual Career services) to eligible veterans and other eligible persons, assisting them in finding suitable employment.

CVSR staff are a highly experienced and knowledgeable group of employment experts who specialize in researching and analyzing various employment trends and opportunities. They use this knowledge to set program direction and policy, which helps to ensure that all veterans and other eligible persons have access to the best possible employment services.

CVSR staff works closely with employers to promote their outreach efforts and to provide them with valuable information about the benefits of hiring veterans. They offer intensive services to veterans and other eligible persons, such as job coaching, job training, and job placement assistance, which helps them to transition into the civilian workforce successfully.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SUBSTITUTIONS, CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & APPEAL RIGHTS

H6N4XXLABOR/EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST III
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
AND
Two years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position and must be a veteran with a Veteran Administration Service-Connected Disability Rating. Your experience must be clearly documented on the application.

Substitutions:
Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Required Competencies:
  • Must be highly knowledgeable on local, state and federal level Workforce programs such as WIOA, Wagner-Peyser and TAA programs.
  • Must have a solid understanding and working knowledge of Veteran's programs.
  • Strong public speaking, facilitation and/or presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize and conduct hiring events.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze data.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with veterans and their families, preferably in a customer service or advocacy role

  • Knowledge of VA benefits, entitlements, and services

  • Experience coordinating and facilitating meetings and discussions with diverse groups

  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies of the JVSG program

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be a current resident of the State of Colorado

  • Travel is required for this position and may include areas of the state where public transportation is not readily available.

Appeal Rights:
