Position Summary

The Condo Specialist, Secondary Corporate Support plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company’s Production Operations functions. The role is primarily responsible, under limited supervision, for performing extensive research on industry trends, guidelines and regulations with the purpose of investor repurchases in redirecting loans.

Essential Functions

  • Review and analyze documentation related to condominium project approval for FNMA, FHA, and Jumbo investors, including CCR’s, by-laws, Articles of Incorporation, budgets, etc.
  • Assist the Condo Division with reviewing condo projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and a lead contact for loan officers, processors, and underwriters for questions and issues related to condominium project approvals and escalation decisions.
  • Partner with Investors/Upper Management on resolving escalation and risk management decisions.
  • Assist in providing condo/product roll out training.
  • Research and review investor repurchases in redirecting loans for salability.
  • Develop tools and matrices for Credit Policy.
  • Research and monitor investor changes for inclusion/exclusion, daily.
  • Provide SVP, Credit Policy reference material used to substantiate determinations of specific variables.
  • Review and research matrices tools for field and determine appropriate vetting.
  • Present information obtained through research via graphs, charts and depicting other meaningful data for the purpose of providing clarity and to ensure audience clarity and comprehension.
  • Conduct exhaustive research to ensure reviews meet investor guidelines and requirements with all necessary parameters.
  • Keep informed of industry trends and changing regulations and guidelines related to field of expertise; recommend changes to policy, practice, and process accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in condominium project approval-related role.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions to solve problems.
  • Ability to be patient and train less experienced team members, respond to questions and build capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to create training materials and conduct programs for the intended audiences.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision/self-motivated.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines, strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Prior experience using PDF/Adobe programs, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; webinar software; and internal systems.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Knowledge of how to coordinate meetings and set up training sessions.
  • Ethical, with a commitment to company values.

  • Intermittent to low supervision required, depending on experience.
  • Apply sound judgment in execution of core job responsibilities.

  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
  • Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
