  • Work will be performed in multiple cities and towns throughout South Dakota in theMinnehaha and Lincoln counties.
  • The type of work in which construction workers will engage is non-agricultural. Kwik Kerb is engaged in commercial and residential construction work. The workers will pour concrete and treat it in various ways to increase its aesthetic appeal. Various materials are used to produce decorative concrete, and the characteristics of these are in achieving color and texture. These materials include color hardener, which provides a unique and very durable integral color that can be used for any application and texture. Chemical stain: chemical stain creates artfully uneven, variegated, or translucent color, much like natural stone. Workers will work on commercial and residential projects such as porches, pool surroundings, and pathways. Workers will prepare the ground to pour the concrete with the right consistency and colors, allowing concrete finishers to complete the projects. Once the ground is ready and workers guide the concrete pouring, they will move to the next project while the other workers finish the project. Workers will also use various tools, such as shovels, concrete mixers, rakes, wheelbarrows, and other equipment traditionally used in landscaping. Most of the work completed will be landscaping projects for residential and commercial clients. The workers may also operate hand and power tools of all types, including but not limited to earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and various other equipment and instruments. The workers may also clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. The workers should be able to read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities, such as loading, unloading, or identifying landscape materials, machinery, or tools. The workers may also distribute building materials, machinery, and tools to the appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications. Workers must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • No diploma or degree is required, and workers must have at least three months of experience in construction labor. Workers are needed to begin work from 04/01/2024 through 12/15/2024.
  • There are six (06) openings for temporary, full-time employment for construction laborers.
  • Workers will be paid no less than $20.07 per/hour and $30.11 for all hours worked over 40hours in one workweek; returning workers may be paid a higher wage rate due toexperience, location, and merit. Overtime may be available but not guaranteed.
  • Employer will offer 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm;depending on weather conditions, work on Saturdays may be required.
  • The employer will provide on-the-job training to properly use equipment and safetytechniques.
  • The employer will assist the workers with housing accommodations by helping them contactlocal rental agencies.
  • The employer will use a single workweek to compute due wages. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and

subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The transportation payment or reimbursement amount will equal the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at least $15.46 p/day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 p/day with receipts.

  • The employer will provide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no cost.
  • The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the job site by providing the workers with a vehicle. Workers can use the vehicle for personal use, and the employer will maintain the maintenance, fuel, and insurance.
  • Workers will be provided daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at the Sioux Falls, SD, main office. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visas, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government.
