Concrete Finisher

Echo Valley Construction in Omaha, NE is looking for motivated individuals to join our team. We have an immediate opening for full-time Concrete Finishers. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 7am to 5pm with some overtime and weekends. Candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Position:

• Concrete Finisher-1 yr. Experience Preferred

Job Duties:

• Smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is level.
• Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges, homes, and parking lots.
• Arrange the concrete forms and spread concrete.
• Prepare surface with hammer and chose and rub cement in with sponge-rubber float or burlap.
• Level it using special blades, making sure all lumps and bubbles are smoothed over.
• Use wood or plastic forms to shape the concrete and hold it until it is set.
• Smooth high spots and fill depressions.
• Make concrete beams, columns, and panels.
• Wash away excess concrete and finish corners by hand.
• Apply latex and epoxy to floors.
• Use machines that vibrate concrete to fill air pockets.
• Use groovers and hand trowels to spread concrete.
• Prepare the base and cut pavers.
• Install masonry according to specifications and pour sand in as filler. Use chemical additives to speed up drying process if necessary.

Pay: $22.00 to $28 per hour, based on experience

Environmental Working Conditions

• All work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
• Exposure to all elements of nature
• Exposure to all types of terrain
• Exposure to loud noise
• Exposure to fumes, odors, gasses, dusts, etc.
• Work in close proximity to heavy traffic

Physical Requirements

• Standing
• Walking
• Climbing, stooping and bending
• Periodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds
• Duties may require working from heights
