Job Description
Job Summary: The Concierge is the first impression of the community. We are looking for someone who can work rotating WEEK-ENDS as well as holidays. GREAT way to earn extra money for NURSING STUDENTS or retirees. Job consists of greeting residents, families, vendors, associates, and other community guests. They answers telephones, responds to routine inquiries, relays calls, and performs a variety of related clerical/ administrative duties. SERIOUS Inquiries ONLY.
Reports to: Business Office Coordinator/ Executive Director
Essential Functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
· Greets every individual entering through the front door and announces all prospects to Sales & Marketing representative by Name
· Answers the phone to company standards.
· Accepts all incoming packages (mail, floral deliveries, etc.) for residents and departments.
· Maintains Sign-In log for all guests/visitors
· Completes and submits Maintenance Request Work Orders
· Maintains the appearance of the common areas by checking for cleanliness, burned out light bulbs, misplaced chairs, etc.
· Maintain Community Security by never leaving the front desk unattended without coverage.
· Completes all necessary Occurrence Reports and distributes to Managers, if applicable.
· Assists with resident/ family grievances.
· Monitors the Daily Resident Safety Check-In System.
· Monitors all applicable door and building alarms, fire panel, and cameras
Education and Experience:
· Must be 18 years or older. Exceptions may apply depending on state requirements.
· 3 to 6 months related experience preferred and/or similar training.
· Knowledge of senior living, Alzheimer's or a related dementia preferred.
· Per state requirements an active state certification & training.
· Administrative/ Clerical experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
· This is a physically demanding job that could or does requires providing activities of daily living assistance to seniors and requires lifting and transferring or residents as appropriate.
· Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull 50lbs.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Ability to read and write comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, family members and other associates
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
· Ability judgment in emergency situations and seeks assistance when needed. Basic level of a skill and can follow written or verbal instructions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
