Concessions staff are responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Must be at least 15 years of age. If under the age of 16, must possess a worker's permit. Must successfully complete the Illinois Food Handler Certification.
Concessions staff are responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all customers of the Skokie Park District have a positive experience when they visit the aquatic facility.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
- Operate kitchen equipment.
- Assist with food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking items.
- Communicate with the Food Service Manager about inventory needs and customer feedback.
- Pick up litter from the pool deck and locker room areas. Empty refuse containers as needed.
- Secure a qualified substitute for any assigned shift when unable to work.
- Ensure that personal time records are accurate & complete.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all other Park District staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager
- Remain up to date on all facility rules & Park District policies. Ensure that rules & policies are enforced with tact & flexibility.
- Exercise care in the use of Park District equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
