General Description:
Concession Stand Workers provide outstanding customer service while serving high quality food, in a fun and efficient quick service manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Concession Stand Workers are responsible for serving guests from one of the seven concession locations within our facility.
- Some food preparation and assembly can be expected, and outstanding customer service counter skills are required.
- Adherence to inventory and portion controls and strict observation of food safety procedures and hand wash regulations are mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Attention to detail. Previous food preparation and cooking experience. Customer service experience. Ability to smile and chat with guests, punctuality, reliability and neat appearance. Must possess the ability to learn the proper operation and maintenance of concession equipment and machinery. Ability to follow directions, comply with company procedures and adhere to food safety regulations as well as work in a team atmosphere.
Special Requirements:

Fast paced environment. Positive attitude is a must. Workers must be committed to becoming, and working as, part of the Concessions team. Must be available to work all weekends and holidays during the Emerald Downs live racing season. Communicate with other staff and leadership with respect.
Must be able to meet the physical and emotional demands of this position.
Tools & Equipment:
Work stations, food, kitchen utensils, supplies, kitchen or cleaning equipment, and cookware.

- Standing and walking for a minimum of eight hours (8 hrs.) a day.
- Able to handle pressure calmly and effectively.
- Lifting up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.) at or above shoulder height on a regular basis.
- Using a variety of body movements such as twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
