JOB SCOPE:
Set-up and operate computer and/or electronic controlled machines. Work from operation sheets, specifications, blue prints, manuals, etc. Use shop mathematics, handbook formulas and a variety of precision instruments and a working knowledge of the cutting qualities of material, machine feeds and speeds to perform necessary functions to operate machine i.e. load, locate and align part in fixture. Install specified numerical control tape at designated position in tape reader place all console on operation station switches, selectors and controls in proper sequence and various operations necessary to complete machine operations. Must determine cause of malfunction and make necessary adjustments. Review Cordax readouts, assist Tool Design, as needed, in new fixture, program readouts, and setup during the period of operation for required quality of parts. Maintain the set-up during the period of operation and correct tooling faults and tryout set-ups.

- Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual's immediate work area in a clean condition.
Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and utilize Blueprints
- Ability to utilize measuring equipment
- Previously held a position demonstrating the ability to set-up and operate manufacturing machinery; or satisfactorily completed company provided or outside training demonstrating some machine skills; or knowledge equivalent to that required in the Machine Operator classification.
