Summary:
The main function of the Research & Data Engineer is to develop, evaluate, test and maintain data collection and processing solutions for a research organization In this role, you will help build software pipelines for processing multi-modal Computer Vision datasets and develop cutting-edge deep learning / Computer Vision models for 3D reconstruction and Client-view synthesis.
Job Responsibilities:
Build and improve data pipelines, including interfaces and workflows for data collection and annotation (images, videos, text).
Participate in implementation and scaling of Client Computer Vision and machine learning algorithms in areas such as: 3D reconstruction, video understanding, image segmentation, and depth sensing.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional engineers and researchers for data collection, data processing and analysis.
Skills:
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with researchers and engineers on project goals, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
1-2 years of experience developing in C++ and/or Python.
Computer Vision experience that provides familiarity with fundamental concepts such as image formation and camera calibration. Experience with 3D reconstruction is preferred.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience required. MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Computer Engineering or related technical field preferred.
Note: Role is remote. Looking for East Coast candidates only (EST time zone)
