JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Duties:
Fox Technology Center, LLC seeks a Computer Systems Engineer (Senior Systems Engineer), responsible for implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting virtualization platforms including VMware and AWS, etc. in a multi-site environment. Work with VMWare virtualization products in an enterprise environment. Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and support enterprise blade technologies, composable infrastructure, and server hardware including HPE OneView/Synergy, Dell VxRail, and Cisco UCS technologies in a multi-site environment. Add structure to IT operations including implementing change management, documentation, best practices, etc. Participate in the support and ongoing maintenance of standards and policies. Identify, resolve and escalate business issues as appropriate. Duties also involve project ownership responsibilities including gathering requirements from diverse business units, documenting the proper design, and following through to project completion. Develop scripts to be used for automation of systems deployments and Cloud management and control.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and five (5) years of Systems Engineering or related experience in designing, building and maintaining IT environment.
In lieu of Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of Systems Engineering or related experience in designing, building and maintaining IT environment, will accept seven (7) years of Systems Engineering or related experience in designing, building and maintaining IT environment.
Experience must include three (3) years of IT experience in infrastructure architecture and design of distributed systems environments, including failover techniques, recovery/rollback and application partitioning; managing private/public/Hybrid Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP; and working with diagnostic tools, automation, and recovery systems using standard or proprietary scripting and programming utilities.
*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Cloud orchestration software such as VMWare vRealize Suite; 2) VMWare products including Vsphere 6.X/7.X, HA, DRS, VSAN, Distributed switches and VROPS for monitoring and capacity management; 3) Server technology including blade technology on HPE Synergy or Cisco UCS; 4) Hyperconverged infrastructure including Dell VXRAIL; 5) Powershell, Powercli or other scripting languages; and 6) Network and storage monitoring and troubleshooting
*Any level of experience or knowledge in the specific skills is acceptable.
