Job Summary:
This position reports to the Associate Director within University Assessment and Testing. It is responsible for the day-to-day computer/technical support needs of the department as well as working as a test proctor within the OSU Testing Center. Some specific responsibilities include administering the Testing Center's computer labs, supporting testing vendor software requirements, proctoring local, state, and national exams, and the design, development, and maintenance of assessment and testing computing resources, databases, and web applications. This position also provides support to Assessment initiatives, particularly through survey and dashboard design (currently via Qualtrics).
Normal work hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Additional hours may be required, particularly during midterm and final exam weeks and weeks when major surveys are being delivered. Also, may be required to arrive early or stay late to meet deadlines or workload demands.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and three years of related experience OR High School/GED and eight years related experience and demonstrated progress towards bachelor's degree.
Experience providing desktop and computer lab technical support in a Windows environment (particularly including using lab imaging software).
-Performs job function under minimal supervision
-Performs complex special projects or tasks while providing excellent customer service through to project completion
-Operates and masters multiple software applications and operating systems, particularly including systems for imaging desktop/lab computers
-Working knowledge of setting up and maintaining computer systems and servers, including configuration
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Must be able to follow instructions exactly, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical standards. Rigorous attention to detail is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related in field, OR Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience, OR High school and ten years related experience and demonstrated progress toward bachelor's degree.
Experience using and providing support with testing vendor software, survey software such as Qualtrics Survey Platform and Qualtrics Course Evaluations, scanning software and hardware, and managing websites and other online software platforms.
